Newest Review: ... doesn't taste of much, and has a rather unpleasant texture. Nutritional info (per 100g) as per below; 155 calories 4.9g ... more

... protein 26.4g carbohydrate 3.3g fat 1.8g fibre 0.6g sodium 1.6g salt I am usually a big fan of Heinz foods but this one just doesn't come up to the standard that I expected. I understand that tinned pasta meals are never going to be amazing, but feel that they could have done a lot better here. Even as a quick stand by meal, this pasta was disappointing and I will not be buying it again....more

Premium Review Heinz Ravioli (with meat): Nasty pasty pasta! (347 words)

Heinz Ravioli (with meat) Description: Manufacturer: Heinz / Type: Ready Meals I can't begin to guess how long this has been around for, at least since I was a kid yet funnily enough, I have never tasted it until recently. The tin is a very bright yellow shade with the label in orange and the logo on the front, along with a picture of the product. Sadly, in my opinion, the picture is the best bit as the actual pasta is quite a let down. A 400g tin of this cost me £0.95 from a local shop but you can also buy this product in most supermarkets. The lid pulls off so you don't need to use a tin opener to access the ...  Read the complete review

Making meals for me and my twins can be a little difficult at times, I don't want to keep eating nuggets, chips, oh and more chips with a blob of sauce so the other week in Sainsburys I picked up a few tins of foods that I could eat with my erm nuggets instead of chips and sauce! Some of the tins were things I hadn't ate for ages, last time I'd ate them were when I was living with my mum and dad last year. One tin I bought was Heinz Ravioli. Heinz Ravioli in tomato sauce comes in a bright yellow tin with a ring pull on top. Heinz is clearly printed on the front of the tin and two pasta parcels as well as two tomatoes are decorating it. Low Sugar and Low fat ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Heinz Ravioli (with meat): Worth paying the extra for Heinz (238 words)

Heinz Ravioli has become a firm favourite in our family recently. I tend to try and buy cheaper brands when ever possible and we have been eating ravioli for a while but it was not that popular more of a side order than a meal. Ravioli is pasta pillows filled with meat in a tomatoe sauce Recently Tesco ran a promotion on Heinz tins and I bought three tins in a buy 2 get one free offer. We had Ravioli with jacket potatoes and cheese that evening after dividing the tin between us my daughter ate her portion straight away and there was a request from more! Since then we have never turned back well worth the extra pennies. We enjoy Ravioli ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Little Parcels Of Tomatoey Taste (776 words)

I always try to keep a good stock of tinned food in the cupboard for when I don't have time to cook from scratch or for if the freezer breaks down and decides to melt all my food, very annoying! At least my tins will be a good backup meal. Heinz make some of the best tinned food especially spaghetti and baked beans, they also make awesome ketchup which I am slightly addicted to but that's just because it's so good! One of my favourite tins to buy is Heinz Ravioli, I never used to like ravioli as a kid, I have no idea why as I love it now. It can be bought in two different sized tins depending on how many people you are feeding or how much you need in one meal. ...  Read the complete review

I always keep a selection of tinned products in for times when I can't be bothered cooking fresh, which does at times become a regular occurrence. One of these times resulted in pulling out a tin of Heinz Ravioli in tomato sauce. The tin I have contains 400g and cost me 89p. The ravioli comes in a tin with a pull off lid. The label is predominately yellow and contains all the essential information regarding the product. The front of the label contains the branding and boasts that the ravioli is a "new Recipe", low sugar and low fat. The back of the label displays the ingredients list (ravioli 45%, water, durum wheat semolina, egg, beef (14%), ...  Read the complete review
