While Henry Heinz was aboard the New York railway his eye caught a poster that was advertising a shoe company that made 21 different styles of shoe. Henry was taken by the advert and he decided to count up how many products his own factory produced, he arrived at 57 and that was how Heinz 57 varieties began...of course there are many more than that now. Heinz love to tell you that they use the freshest ingredients possible for their soups, any soup that contains meat will have only high-quality meat. Heinz use no GM ingredients, artificial colours or preservatives. An incredible 289 million cans of Heinz soup are sold in the UK every ...  Read the complete review

I normally make my own soups and casseroles but i will keep a tin or two of soup in my cupboard for emergencies as a quick and convenient meal. I tried Heinz Scotch Broth for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The tin is covered with a red label with the Heinz logo in a goldish coloured writing. Underneath there is a picture with a bowl of the broth and a chunk of bread next to it. The can is opened with a ring pull, like the ones on cans of pop, this pulls the lid right off so there is no need for a tin opener. This particular flavour is part of the Heinz classic range. With this being a broth i expected it to be quite watery but i found ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Heinz Scotch Broth Soup: A Wintery Soup (388 words)

Being added to my long list of soups that I have been indulging in just lately is Heinz Scotch Broth, a soup that I haven't had for years and to be honest can't remember the last time that I did have it, however will be one that I will now continue to pop in my trolley from now on. Although we call it soup, it does have a slight difference, its a broth purely because of the consistency of it. It is very thin and watery and more like a stock as opposed to a soup. Originating from Scotland, as thats where it acquired it name, across the country we find ourselves making soups of this liking to our own particular tastes, however for a quick fix then buying a ...  Read the complete review

Heinz Scotch Broth Soup Description: Manufacturer: Heinz / Type: Soups Tesco have an offer on Heinz soups right now and are selling 2 for £1. I bought a few to put in my locker at work and use for lunches. This Scotch Broth is really thick so that makes it very filling. It is loaded with chunky vegetables and is seasoned well so doesn't need salt or pepper adding to it. Premium Review Heinz Scotch Broth Soup: Broth, not soup! (287 words)

When I was a young girl (many years ago), my dad taught me to make broth, now many people think broth is a type of soup but broth and soup are actually different due to the thickness or consistency of the stock, a thick stock makes broth and a thin makes soup. So when Heinz Scotch Broth is spoken of it should really be referred to as a Broth and not a soup. Anyway all that aside Heinz Scotch Broth is a fantastic broth and this to me is actually quite surprising because getting a good broth from a tin is never something I would have thought could happen. Scotch broth you will find is full of meat and vegetables, well the Heinz variety is and that is ...  Read the complete review
