I initially picked this up in Tesco as I had a Clubcard voucher for 30p off. The usual price is about £1.49 so it's a little bit more than other similar sauces eg. Chicken Tonight, however I was curious and always like to try something new. I eat a lot of chicken and struggle to think of different things to do with it so I thought I'd give this a try. Spread and Bake comes in a 315g clear glass jar with a screw top. It's a smaller jar than you would get a typical cook-in sauce, but that's presumably because you're supposed to use less as you're only spreading it over the meat rather than pouring it all over to cover your chicken. It comes in four ... Read the complete review

Someone suggested to me a recipe using a tikka paste the other day, so when I saw this spread and bake from Heinz I thought I would give it a try. When my shopping actually arrived, they had delivered me barbecue instead of the tikka variety I had ordered so the pot sat in my cupboard for a couple of weeks before I got around to using it. Spread and bake come in three different varieties, barbecue, tikka and Moroccan. They are a sauce that you can spread onto a chicken breast to give it a glaze and nice flavour as the sauce seeps into the meat whilst cooking. I was stuck for something to cook the other night so when I found this jar I decided to ... Read the complete review

I recently tried the Heinz Spread n Bake Sticky bbq flavour after a recommendation from a friend and was really impressed with it. For those of you that are not culinary experts like myself you end up with a really tasty meal with very little effort. It is available in four flavours which are Sticky BBQ, Moroccan, Tikka and Meditteranean Tomato and they come in a jar size of 315g. Used best on chicken breasts you place your chicken into an oven proof dish then spread over a couple of thick spoonfuls of sauce over each chicken breast. The jar suggests there is enough for six servings but i have got more like ten servings from a jar and thats without being sparse with it. ... Read the complete review

Having seen this sauce advertied on the TV i though i would give it a go, and was really impressed with it. I have only tasted the Tikka one but it was really tasty and would defently recommend it to anyone. It is very easy to do, and is a change to having just plain chicken. The jar is plenty big enough for a family of 4 depending on how much you spread on the chicken depends on how many chicken breast it will go around. Be a nice idea to maybe do a smaller jar for those who are only cooking for 1 or 2 as it doesnt keep in the fridge for bery long. For those of you who like a different taste on your chickenevery now and then i would recommened you go out and buy ... Read the complete review

I bought this while it was on offer as it looked like a nice change to plain chicken breast. I have only tried the Mediterranean tomato variety and I was really impressed with it. One of the main reasons I like this is because it is packed full of vegetables and tomatoes and very little artificial ingredients. Heinz Spread and Bake comes in small jars that will cover about 8/10 chicken breasts. To prepare the chicken you need to spoon a couple of spoonfuls on Spread and Bake onto the chicken breasts and leave them to bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. When they are ready the chicken will be cooked and the Spread and Bake should still be on the ... Read the complete review
