(first of all, I am reviewing the 200g tin, not the large tin as suggested, though DooYoo would not accept my product proposal for the smaller option). I've never been overly enthusiastic about baked beans, and if I'm honest, they are quite basic and dull, aren't they? I hadn't set out to buy any, but when I spotted a tin of Weight Watchers Baked Beans sitting on the supermarket shelf, I thought they'd be worth a try. When you first opened the 200g tin, using the efficient ring-pull, you'll notice the beans smothered in their sauce are quite pale compared to other leading brands. They pour out into a bowl quite easily, leaving just a few beans left ... Read the complete review

Today I will be reviewing the 200g tin of weight watcher's beans rather than the bigger tin as pictured on dooyoos description. If you don't know it already weight watchers are actually made by Heinz which to me is a good starting point considering Heinz make good food. The beans themselves come in a small purple tin with a picture of a fork with beans on the front. The tin is basic but tells you all of the information needed. A 200g tin contains only 131 calories and less than 1% fat which means the beans have a points value of 2 if you are following a points weight watchers plan you will know that is good. To be honest I'm ... Read the complete review

Beans does mean Heinz as in that little iconic green tin but at times you do feel that waistband expanding and feel the need to downsize. Luckily these beans are by Heinz and taste just as good as the 'real thing'! One small (200g) tin contains 131 calories and contains less than 1% fat, the tin clearly says so and the tin counts as 2 points if you're following Weightwatchers. The main thing is that the beans are tasty. Plenty of plump little beans in a tomato sauce. Ok, purists might say the sauce is a little thin but all in all these taste good and you get some beany satisfaction and a bit less guilt. Handily the can has a ring pull and ... Yes these Baked Beans are lower in calories and saturated fat but that doesn't mean that the flavour is going to be scrimped on. These beans are made by everyones beans "favourite", Heinz. The tin itself is purple with the Weight Watchers and Heinz logo on it with a lovely picture of the actual beans on front also. The tin comes in both 200g and 400g tins, which works out a WW points value of 2 and 4 respectively. You open the tin and looking from the top you honestly wouldnt be able to tell the difference between this and the full fat Heinz version. After heating the beans in a microwave or a pan the only real difference is ... Read the complete review
