I am not following the weight watchers plan, but like to keep an eye on the old waistline....so very pleased to find Weightwatchers tuna and sweetcorn...a firm fave of mine on a sandwich or jacket spud. The item says on the tin that it has only 1 point which is great for the ww diet. Upon opening the tin, which is fairly small, you are faced with a very stange gelatinous topping to the tuna, doesn't look like any mayonaise I am familiar with, I can only liken it to mayo that has been left out and gone slightly translucent if you know what i mean...?? the tuna itself is....lets say limited to say the least, and very flakey, not in a good way. In Morrisons yesterday I came across some Weight Watchers Tuna and Mayonnaise with Sweetcorn tins, and as I am seemingly trying every product in the Weight Watchers catalogue decided to buy some to try. They come in a cardboard sleeve which holds three small tins of Tuna Mayo, each tin being 80g which is apparently enough for two sandwiches or one jacket potato. I opened it and was dismayed to find it looked absolutely vile, large clumps of mayo and very bitty tuna with barely a kernel of sweetcorn in sight! Quite recently I have taken to the taste of sweetcorn, and its phenomenal texture, so I was delighted when I came across the John West Weight Watchers Tuna Mayonnaise and Sweetcorn filler tubs in Asda. Purchasing them without a second thought, I was slightly curious at how it would turn out; I had never bought pre-made tuna mayo before!
