Advantages: low in calories, great taste,
Disadvantages: -
Working for a body building company you would probably think that I am a fitness fanatic. The answer to that particular question is no, I go through phases, especially during the winter when I have no motivation, can't be bothered to train at the gym and often pile on the pounds.
However, that time of year has come where my motivation has returned, after having a couple of sunbeds and thinking I need to lose a few pounds I have started my diet again. Out the window has gone any form of take away, no more wine or cider, vodka has become the substitute and healthy eating, small but very often to accompany my training regime.
I don't often eat weight watcher foods, to be honest a lot of them I don't rate them, however whilst shopping and in the fish aisle as I eat a lot of tuna when I am trying to lose weight, I came across the Weight Watchers Tuna in Tomato and Herb dressing. I had had these a couple of years ago and really liked them so I popped a couple of packs in my trolley for snacking on at work.
They are great value for money. £1.79 for three small tins and they are small, not really enough to put on a sandwich, however I am off bread at the moment anyway because of the amount of carbs that it contains, I tend to snack on them straight from the tin.
With a pull ting to open them, when you do open them, you can't actually see any tuna, its very thick tomato dressing that doesn't smell completely of tomatoes, its the herbs that hits your smell sense first. As you delve in and start to mix the tomato in, the big chunks of tuna become visible and it looks extremely appetising.
It tastes fantastic, very small tin, and doesnt last very long, couple of mouthfuls and its gone, but it fills the gap and all for just 80 calories. The nutritional information isn't great, it might be low in calories and it might be weightwatchers but it isn't the best thing to eat, however in moderation its okay and will help you on a calorie controlled diet.
If you are trying to lose weight and do want a tasty treat I would recommend to try these. Nice as a filling on jacket potato, but thats carbs again so a no no for me. They do them in different flavours but they don't look as appealing as this particular one.
