The back of the label consists of the ingredients list ( vegetable oil, water, pasteurised egg and egg yolk, spirit vinegar, salt, sugar, lemon juice, mustard flavouring, antioxidant (calcium disodium EDTA), paprika extract) which looking at it is actually full of items I recognise for a change, a detailed and summarised set of nutritional values per 14g (101 calories, sugars 0.2g, fat 11.1g, saturates 0.9g, salt 0.2) and being the full fat version it is as bad as expected! Premium Review Hellmanns Mayonnaise (Jar): Be Fat Not Light! (337 words)

I've never much thought about mayo, Hellmans Light is usually in our fridge but I'm not bothered if there's another brand or variety instead. I don't think I've ever had this full fat Hellmans before but today I've eaten mayo twice, once at home and again at my mates. We had Heinz today at home but my mate had this Hellmans and I could taste a massive difference in the creaminess of the mayos and preferred Hellmans by miles. My mate did egg mayo but her idea of that is a boiled egg cut in half with a big dollop of mayo on the top. This original Hellmans is delish and compared to it our Heinz tasted just like the lighter Hellmans version. It's soooo ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review This Is The Real Mayonnaise! (395 words)

I love having lots of different spreads and fillings for sandwiches and mayonnaise is one of those fridge/cupboard staples for me that can really help to round off a lunchtime deliciously. The mayonnaise is provided in a glass jar with a metal screw top lid (both of which can be recycled) and there is 400g of mayonnaise in the jar for £1.69 from Sainsburys or 600g for £2.59 (currently available for £2.09 from Sainsburys stores). This mayonnaise is designed to be kept in the fridge once opened as it is made with eggs. There is a stonking 722 calories per 100g of this mayonnaise which is definitely something that needs to be enjoyed in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hellmanns Mayonnaise (Jar): the best mayo I've used to date! (597 words)

We really like 'real' mayonnaise in our family as opposed to salad cream, but if you've ever made it from scratch you'll know how time-consuming it can be to make your own. I was introduced to Hellman's years ago by an American friend & although there are cheaper versions on the market I think this may is the best to date. They do a variety of mayonnaises now including Real Mayonnaise, Light, Extra Light & Mayonnaise with Olive Oil. They are now available in squeezy plastic jars as well as the original glass jars. We use quite a lot so I buy the 600g light for £2.59 from Tesco but there are 200g & 400g jars if you don't eat it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A Great Condiment (279 words)

Helman's Mayonnaise is a delicious spread, which can be used in cooking or in sandwiches or even as a side sauce for some food. It comes in a glass jar with a yellow label, which has a blue part with the Helman's Mayonnaise logo. The jar is full to the top with white mayonnaise, which has a somewhat thick consistency. The lid is metal and blue and quite easily comes off once you break the plastic seal and unscrew it. Helman's mayonaise isn't really good for you, unless you buy the light version. It has a lot of salt in it and egg with much carbohydrate so you can put on weight pretty easily if you eat too much. It has a great taste though and goes well with a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hellmanns Mayonnaise (Jar): To the Good Old Duke of Richelieu's chef- thanks for the may ... (567 words)

If there is one food product I wouldn't be without in my kitchen cupboard - it has to be Hellmann's Mayonnaise. The mayonnaise is made with free range eggs, rapeseed oil and vinegar. The rapeseed oil is a good natural source of mono and polyunsaturated fats and vegetable based Omega-3. I know, raw eggs and oil - may not sound like the most mouthwatering of combinations. However, when mixed and whipped together they take on a very rich and creamy texture with a great taste. Helmanns mayonnaise is great on sandwiches (especially when mixed with tuna), in salads and in other recipes too especially pasta dishes. It can transform bland dishes into ...  Read the complete review
