Hershey's Reese's Cups

I should probably start this review by explaining that over the festive season, I put on a few unwanted pounds and as a result, have spent the last few months eating healthily and exercising regularly to shed them and feel less sluggish.

Unfortunately, this has meant that I have had to replace treats with more healthy options and also cut out snacking. Having said that, there are times when only a sweet treat will do and if you are lucky enough to have them available to you, these peanut butter cups are one of the nicest ways to treat yourself.

A pack containing 3 peanut butter cups will cost you around £0.55 and can be found in supermarkets, the Hershey Reece's brand is American but they have become much more widely available recently so you shouldn't struggle to find them. They are easy to spot by their bright orange wrappers and the Reese's logo in yellow writing.

Inside, each of the 3 peanut butter cups comes in a little paper case and is a flat circular shape. They are basically a little disc of peanut butter (smooth) inside a chocolate coating and although they are not very good for you, they are absolutely delicious.

These treats are soft but firm and very sweet although the peanut butter prevents them from being too sweet as it has a slightly savoury taste. I find that I can eat 1 or 2 of these and feel satisfied but can't manage 3 at a time. This is good though as it means there is always one left over for later on!

The chocolate on these sweets is also delicious and there is just enough of it around each cup to complement the peanut butter without overpowering it. The simple combination of chocolate and peanut butter is unlike any other sweet on the market and if you haven't already tried these, then you most definitely should.
