 ... organic. They don't contain any real nasties but are made in factories handling eggs, nuts and sesame, so, if your child is sensitive then these are not suitable. The biscuits are sweet but not overly so and I don't really think twice about giving my little one a couple now and again. Unlike Organix biscuits these are sweetened with refined sugar rather than fruit juices though, so be aware. Now my son is old enough to cope with most proper foods I try to give him the same as us wherever possible. That includes snacks. Plain biscuits such as rich tea, malted milks and fruit shortcake go down as well as any "toddler snack" and, it seems, my son is more likely to take one because he's hungry than because he just likes the look of them. However, sometimes I think it's good to give kids food that's fun as a treat or reward but fun food needn't be bad food. Hipp Elephant biscuits are designed with 1 to 3 year-olds in mind. HIPP Organic Elephant Biscuits These have 451 calories per 100g, with 15g fat, 6g of which are saturates. These are pretty chunky biscuits with a definite elephant shape. They taste pretty much like "Farley's Rusks" but less crumbly. I liked the taste of these, and so did my 3 year old daughter. She said the elephants looked "cool!" These are aimed at "stages 3 & 4" which in children's food terms means approximately ages 10 months to 3 years. This is because they are big enough for children learning to eat to hold on to properly without losing them down the side of their high chair!
