Home Made Alcoholic Mixes/CocktailsNewest Review: ... vodka which i now enjoy on a regular basis. To make a 1lt bottle you will need: 1 x 70cl bottle of vodka (i use tesco own Brand) 2 x packets of Werther's Original And an empty 1lt bottle Instructions Tip your vodka into the 1lt bottle, crush the Worther's into bits( don't forget to unwrap them first), i use a pestle and mortar but if you crush them in the bag be careful it does not split. Worther's crumble really well so should break down to dusty small bits easy. Use a rolled up paper funnel and tip all the toffee bits into the vodka Put the lid on tight and shake well for 7 days!(not really) shake for a couple of hours to dissolve the... more |

I was cuddled up on the sofa one Saturday night enjoying my favourite tipple, Dooley's Toffee Liqueur on ice, if you have not tried this it's a Creamy blend of vodka and yes, toffee! Retailing at about £12 for a 70cl bottle i began to think they must be a way to make my own toffee vodka drink and save myself a few quid. So over to my favourite research tool,Google! with millions of results for homemade toffee vodka i had to pour myself another glass of Dooley's to keep me going while i sifted through hundreds of pages picking out the best bits of information and do's and dont's so i could make my own perfect toffee vodka which i now enjoy on a regular ... Mmm, cocktails! The perfect begining, middle and end to a great night out! Here's a couple of my favourites... The Cosmopolitan Although cosmopolitans were introduced in or around the 1970's and the Sex and the City girls have drunk these for years, I got round to drinking my first only two weeks ago. It's a rum based cocktail, one which I would consider to be an all year round drink, not too fruity that you feel like you should only be drinking it in the summer. Ingredients required 1 oz Vodka 1/2 oz Cointreau or Grand Marnier 1/2 oz Lime juice 1/2 oz Cranberry juice Mix all ingredients ... Read the complete review

While reading this review please open youtube in a new tab and listen to this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0mPkGNssWA The official Mjito song might not be everyone's taste but I never met anyone who didn't love a well mixed Mojito. It certainly is one of the classic cocktails you can find on menus all around the world but there are so many recipes that you'll hardly find any two that taste the same. The basics are the same, white rum, mint, lime and sugar - but there are so many variations, brown or white sugar, fresh lime or juice, add Angostura bitter or not, crushed or ice cubes etc. Just toy around with the basics and you'll soon find your ... Aaah...cocktails. You really can't get better than a cocktail can you. Cocktails can be enjoyed at any time of year but I think theres something beautiful about cocktails in the summer. So now it is getting warmer I have been making them a lot more. I love a lot of cocktails, particular favourites include Sex on the Beach, Mojitos and Pina Coladas. But I've recently discovered one that has stormed into the lead as my favourite so I thought I'd share it with you. It's called the Cool Blue Hawaiian. The Cool Blue Hawaiian is a fantastic summer cocktail. It's light, refreshing and, the best of all, it's a beautiful bright turquoise blue colour so very ... Read the complete review

The weathers getting better, summers slowly but surely coming. They even say that it will be the hottest summer we've had. So why not get the loungers ready and prepare yourself to take in the delights of a Sex on the Beach sip by sip in the sun! Sex On The Beach: Sex on the Beach is a fruity, and very popular cocktail for the summer. Usually orange and yellow in colour with additions of reds and pinks. Then with a garnish it just looks like summer in a glass. There are many different recipes on how to make the 'perfect' Sex on the Beach, some completely contrasting others. Some with vodka and peach schnapps, topped with different juices ... Read the complete review
