Disadvantages: Gets you very drunk

Unfortunately, I am not actually offering myself on a sandy beach but instead the delicious taste of a Sex on the Beach cocktail.

I first tried the this cocktail in a local club and from my first sip I was hooked. The taste is delicious and I could keep on drinking it for ages. It has a cool fruity sweet flavour which makes it a great summer drink. It can often be found in bars abroad as I'm sure a lot of holiday makers enjoy drinking this aptly named cocktail near a hot sunny beach somewhere with some other thoughts in mind.

A warning though, is does go to your head straight away (well it does mine anyway) and with only one of these I can already feel myself succumbing to the sweet bliss of drunkenness.

So here's how to make one of these tasty cocktails:

What you'll need:
2 shots vodka (I prefer Smirnoff but any vodka does just as well)
1 shot Peach Schnapps (or Archers)
3 shots orange juice
3 shots cranberry juice

Shake the vodka and Peach Schnapps together in a tumbler with cracked ice. Strain it into a highball glass and then pour in equal amounts of orange juice and cranberry juice. A wedge of orange and a cherry plus a straw tops the drink off perfectly!

Some funny facts:
The restaurant TGI's name this same cocktail on their menu as 'Fun on the Beach' so that there is no usage of the word 'Sex'.
The alcohol-free variation of this cocktail is known as 'Safe Sex on the Beach'.
In some places the cocktail is called 'Sand in your Shorts'.

This is the perfect cocktail for a summer holiday, BBQ in the garden, or just as a wonderful drink to get you drunk!
