It is very easy to make your own elderflower cordial especially for me as I live very rural, so I just take a summertime stroll around the local fields and come home with a carrier bag full of elderflower heads. I love drinking homemade smoothies in summer. I'm working full time at the moment (stupid university tuition fees) and the fruity drinks are a quick and delicious way to contribute to my 5-a-day. Smoothies are easy to make, you need fresh fruit, ice and some fantasy. Last year for my birthday I decided to throw a Hawaiian themed do! I don't normally go for celebrating my birthday with a party, normally a nice meal and drinks with friends, however last year was an impressive year for me and felt that I need to really celebrate with friends and family!
