Advantages: Contains natural ingredients, simple and quick to make.

Disadvantages: You will need a liquidiser .

Refreshing Lemon Drink.

This drink tastes especially good on a hot summers day when chilled in the
fridge. Also though, due to the well known health properties of lemon it is also ideal in winter as a way of soothing coughs/colds/sore throats etc.

The drink itself is extremely easy to make and doesn't take too long.
This particular recipe will make just over a pint, but can easily be adapted to make more or less as required.

Ingredients:

1 lemon.
2 tablespoons of sugar.
1 pint of cold water.

Method:

1. Cut the lemon into approximately 8 chunks and place into a liquidiser.

2. Add the sugar and water to the liquidiser.

3. Blend on a fast setting for approximately 30 seconds.

4. Pour the mixture through a strainer into a jug.

5. Discard of the left overs from the strainer.

6. Place the jug into the fridge to chill.

Enjoy!

Depending on the size of your liquidiser, you may find it easier to place only half of the ingredients into the liquidiser at a time (it depends on how close to the top of the liquidiser the pint mark reaches).

Although this recipe does include sugar, I still class it as being fairly healthy as it contains only natural ingredients and there are no additives/preservatives in it (unlike the shop bought varieties). Also, whilst it does contain very few ingredients, it definately has a tangy taste to it!!!

Overall this is one of my favourite drinks and I recommend you try it.

Summary: Tangy and tasty!

Sounds delicious, although I'm suffering with bad toothache at the mo so maybe not for me with all that sugar :(
