Advantages: fun to make, Simple to prepare
Disadvantages: fating
When Jack frost starts decorating your windows making lovely pictures, and your nose is red, something hot to drink would take the chill off As you curl up to the fire place why not have a cup or two of Home-made Hot Chocolate? It does taste better then the instant staff that you buy from the store. Home-made always taste better, anyway. From this recipe you can also make Hot mocha, spiced hot chocolate, and low-fat hot chocolate. Sounds luscious From start to finish: 15 minutes 2 ounces unsweetened or semisweet chocolate coarsely chopped or 1/3 cup of chocolate pieces 1/3 cup of sugar 4 cups of milk Whipped cream or tiny marshmallows and sprinkles. (Optional). 1: In a medium saucepan combine unsweetened or semisweet chocolate, sugar, and 1/2 cup milk, cook and sir over medium heat till mixtures just comes to boiling. Stir in remaining milk. Heat through. Do Not boil. 2: Remove from heat. If desired, beat milk mixture with a rotary beater till frothy. If desired, top each serving with whipped cream, or marshmallows and sprinkles. Makes 6 (about 6oz each serving). Hot Mocha: stir 1 tablespoon of instant coffee into chocolate mixture with remaining milk. Spiced Hot Chocolate: Stir 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg into chocolate mixture with remaining milk. Low-fat Hot Chocolate: Substitute low fat milk, and use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of the chocolate pieces.
