Do you spend as much time as you would like, preparing meals for yourself or family? I would like to spend more time in the kitchen, but when I've got a young child and both me and my husband work long hours, it's not possible. We always try to eat healthily, ensuring we have plenty of fruit, veg and salad each day, as a family we love pasta and always keep a jar or two of pasta bake in the cupboard for a quick meal idea. Whilst cooking dinner the other night, I was tearing off the label from the glass jar, which was going to be cleaned out and recycled, and was surprised at what I read. For a 500g jar, which serves 4 people, a 125g ... Read the complete review

When comes to being the family cook, there are times when I just can't be bothered. And at times like that I often turn to the freezer and find something to bung in the oven that everyone will eat. Or if hubby's had a good day and is feeling generous he'll treat us all to a take away. On other occasions I turn to the cupboard and take out a jar of Homepride Pasta Bake. These are so simple to make up. You just need to add dry pasta to the sauce and some water. Mix it all together and put it in an oven dish. Cook the lot in the oven, adding some cheese as the instuctions direct and that's it! The fact that you do not have to pre-cook the pasta before adding the ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love pasta and rice based meals as they are really filling and you can have a wide range of different sauces etc to go with it. Most of the time I make a pasta sauce from scratch using fresh herbs and vegetables; although on some occasions I really cant be bothered doing that so I usually opt for a quick fix meal which doesn't take ages to prepare and make. One brand which I have started using recently is the Homepride Pasta Bake, which is really tasty and the best thing is the fact that it is really easy and quick to make. Homepride Pasta bake is really cheap to buy considering it serves up to four people and a jar of the Pasta Bake sauce will only set you ... Read the complete review

As a busy mum of two young children and a fussy eating husband I find it increasingly hard to find something that everyone eats and enjoy's apart from the traditional sunday roast, these pasta bake sauces go down a treat. We tend to have a homepride pasta bake about once a week usually on a monday when we have to hurry to my son's karate and daughters dance lessons. With homepride there is no need to precook the pasta, all you have to do is chuck the pasta in the dish, empty the sauce all over, fill up the sauce jar to the top of the label add that to the dish and bung it in the over for 25mins add your grated cheese and bake for a further 20 mins ... Trained in Institutional Management means I can cook (well I think I can!) and have cooked for over 100 school children, as well as running a College canteen supervising others. For this reason I usually cook everything from scratch as I enjoy cooking and also this means less additives, but occasionally I do try a convenience food and today I decided to use a jar of sauce that had been in my kitchen cupboard for several months and I knew the sell by date was December so decided I would use it up. I usually connect "Fred" from Homepride to flour but when I saw his jar of Pasta Bake sauce in Tesco on offer I decided to buy it as Homepride is a well known ... Read the complete review
