It has a wonderfully rich tomato flavour to it and the sauce is quite thick after it has cooked alongside the chicken, I added extra onion and mushrooms to the dish along with a chopped up green pepper and some crushed garlic cloves and it was very tasty indeed and so easy to prepare all I had to do was brown the chicken and then throw the whole lo...more

Premium Review Homepride Roast Chicken Casserole Sauce: A Quick Meal Solution (707 words)

Feeling lazy after a very hard day at work I decided to make a very simple chicken dish and add in a cooking sauce. I must confess I have never really been a fan of this type of product in the past as I have always felt that my own versions made from scratch are much tastier. However as I stated I really just couldn't be bothered and at the time the quicker the better and with as little effort as possible was the order of the day to feed myself and a very hungry six year old. The particular sauce that I tried was one which I picked up in my local Morrisons called Homepride Roast Chicken Hearty Casserole sauce. I purchased this for £1.39 for a 500g jar which I ...  Read the complete review

I am always looking for ways to make a quick, easy and tasty meal that looks as if I have spent ages on it! I have found that a simple, though not necessarily cheap way to do this is to purchase ready made sauces. Homepride Roast Chicken Hearty Casserole is one such sauce. The sauce comes in a large glass jar with a screw top lid. It is see through so you can take a peek at the merchandise before buying, and it has a paper label around its middle which has a picture of a yummy looking casserole on it, as well as the ingredients and instructions. The sauce is really easy to use. To make a casserole, all you need to do is gently fry some cubed chicken ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Homepride Roast Chicken Casserole Sauce: PRETEND YOU MADE IT - IT'S BELIEVABLE (352 words)

I like the HomePride range of sauces, and 1 of my favourites was the Shepherds Pie one, which went away for a while and then came back - thank god. I tried this one the other week for the first time and I was impressed. You get this in 500ml Jars and they normally cost around £1.50, but Tesco was selling all the HomePride Sauces for £1 each a couple of weeks ago, so that's what drew me to try this. Chicken is my favourite Meat, so I like the have dishes with it in it. The Packaging is alright. It is a clear glass jar with a Blue screw Lid. the lid is easy enough to get off as well, so not a huge struggle. Since it is a clear glass you see the dark ...  Read the complete review

I'm usually pretty good when it comes to cooking food in different sauces as I can usually put something half decent together however there are those occasions when I cannot be bothered or do not have the time so a nice easy bail out option is to purchase a ready prepared sauce to use and this homepride casserole sauce for chicken is a pretty good option to go for. It comes in a glass jar with a sealed lid which you twist off and the contents are a thick reddish brown colour and there is a slight smell of mollasses and tomatoes when you first open it up. It is easy to use, if I 'm in a rush then I tend to cook the chicken breast fillets in a wok with some ...  Read the complete review
