I have just got back from staying at my best friend's for a week by the coast. Now as much as I love my friend she is not the world's best housekeeper by any means, which usually means she hasn't stocked up for me coming... The downside to having to go out the very next day after you have landed at the sea-side for 'a break', is having to go to the nearest supermarket and do a staple shop for the basics like milk and bread. The upside however is having carte blanche to choose the brands I like for both! Hovis's 'Seed Sensations' brown 800gram loaf falls firmly under my favourite carbohydrate banner as it's full of fibre and nutty ...  Read the complete review

We're constantly being told that we should be eating more of this, less of that. Less, in this case, being white bread. More being wholegrain. Boring Then I discovered (through my bloke) Hovis Seed Sensations I like the orange wrapped one - Light & Nutty (kinda like me!) The bread is based on a brown loaf, and has lots of seeds thrown in to give it extra taste and texture. Well, that's how'd I'd describe it anyhow. But of course, being Hovis the brown part is actually pretty nice. When it's fresh, the bread is light and fluffy, with the seeds adding some interesting harder bits that awakens the tongue For those ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hovis Seed Sensations: Rich, Roasted and full of yum (481 words)

**Note** This review is for the 'Rich and Roasted' seed sensations and not the one in the image. Seeds, in my bread? Ridiculous I thought. Hovis Seed Sensations Rich and Roasted happened to be the only bread in the house when I felt like a corn beef sandwich. It was contained within the typical bread wrapping but of a purple colour. The packaging had clear patches where you could see the loaf absolutely full of seeds. It claims to have 25, 000 seeds in one loaf! I'm just guessing here and saying there was maybe 25 slices. That's about 1000 seeds in every slice! Never, I told myself. This must have been the longest time it has taken me to eat a sandwich. Of ...  Read the complete review

I love bread...Toast.......and lashings of butter....and cheese...jam...peanut butter!!!!!! Oh the list is endless. I love the stuff. I Always buy the family seeded or wholemeal breads. I now only buy Hovis seed sensation breads. There are two kinds: Light and nutty, which I haven't tried which is the one pictured, or Rich and Roasted which is the one I am addicted to. Its the same packaging as in the picture, but its a rich dark purple back ground. The packaging tells you its bursting with the flavour of eight varieties of roasted seeds including over 8000 poppy seeds (Have they counted???? hmmmm) The seeds it contains are: Brown ...  Read the complete review

Hovis Seed Sensations Description: Manufacturer: Hovis / Type: Bread Yesterdays lunch at work was a tin of soup, picked up from my local Tesco on the way in. I also grabbed a loaf of bread so that I could have a slice with the soup, and since I haven't tried it before, picked up this Hovis Seed Sensations loaf. An 800g loaf cost me £1.55 which isn't the cheapest on the market, but it did look tasty! The reason that it is called "seed sensations" is because it actually contains 8 different kinds of seed, which is pretty impressive, they are as follows; Brown Linseed Roasted Brown Linseed Golden Linseed ...  Read the complete review
