Advantages: Great taste, lovely and soft, lots of slices, white, good size.
Disadvantages: A little expensive but worth it!
If I had a bigger budget then this would always be my bread of choice but sometimes I have to stick to cheaper products or just whatever is in the cupboard wherever I happen to be staying!
This bread is provided in a polythene bread bag with a neck seal (which shows the best before date) and providing you are careful when opening the bag can easily be resealed and your bread will stay fresher for longer. I find that this stays soft for a good few days on average after purchasing and I normally freeze some when I get it so that I have a nice loaf in the freezer for toast at all times.
The bread is brilliantly white & is deliciously soft, I always give my loaf of bread a little squeeze before I purchase it just to try and make sure that it's as soft as I can get. I love this bread as toast or as part of a sandwich and it never fails to disappoint. I ate two slices of it with a fry-up yesterday and it was just perfect for dipping in to my bean juice and it helped to make my breakfast even more special.
I have no bad points to mention about this bread, it's soft & extremely tasty. I like nothing more than a few good slices of bread to help get my day started and this product does it wonderfully! I will be buying it again (as soon as the budget allows) and I would definitely recommend it. It is a little expensive but it's worth paying that little extra for the fantastic taste, softness and great quality of the bread.
Each slice contains 92 calories and 0.8g (medium size) and this is very reasonable for a slice of white bread which is a good size medium.
Hovis Soft White Bread is available from Asda for £1.00 per 800g and this is also the long term price in Iceland.
I am rating this bread 5/5 as it's my favourite & it's bread perfection!
Summary: A fantastic bread which is worth every penny.
