I do tend to buy whatever bread is on offer as I tend to think of it as a stable and so much of a much but I however received a voucher for a free loaf of Hovis soft white bread which weighs 800g so picked one up from Asda and saved myself £1.10. Hovis do claim to be driven by three main principals We believe that natural is best We believe that taste is all important We believe that good bread should be good for you too This just seems like a selling technique and not something that I take too seriously. Normally when buying a loaf, I opt for Tesco's excellent Tiger Bread - it tastes great, and is delicious and soft. However, whilst in the supermarket last week I was intrigued by the new 'Soft White Farmhouse' variety made by Hovis, and decided to give it a try. As bread manufacturers go, Hovis is probably Britain's best loved and most traditional, and has a history stretching back as far as 1886.
