My guilty secret (apart from still reading Enid Blyton) is a sneaky McDolalds on a Friday night, with the excuse of having worked hard all week so I deserve a treat! I always have a Quarterpounder with Cheese Meal, and I always have barbecue sauce with it - its my favourite part of the whole thing. I have trawled the stores looking for something to match it, and stupidly gathered expensive jars of runny, overhot rubbish at the back of my cupboards, because for some reason I never bothered to try the Heinz version. It was the OH that brought this home, much to my disgust - I thought it would be cheap and nasty, as it only cost £1.75 for a big 570g ... Read the complete review

I must admit that I do love BBQ sauce. I like it with a variety of foodstuffs such as potato wedges and waffles, and I do like to dip things such as chicken (or in my case, Quorn) dippers into a generous dollop of BBQ sauce... Yummy! Having tried and tested several brands over the years, I usually always end up going back to the HP variety - "Classic Woodsmoke Flavour". I find that this variety of BBQ sauce is so rich and tasty that it makes it a winner over other brands. Before I go any further, I mentioned that the sauce I usually buy is the "HP Classic Woodsmoke" variety, and this is worth noting as there are several ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love Bbq sauce and get through at least a bottle a week much to my Mothers disgust! I'm the only one in my home that eats it and by far my favourite so far is this bbq sauce (and believe me over the years I've sampled many lol!). I must clarify before I get stuck into the review that athough I'm reviewing the HP Original BBQ Sauce mine is the classic woodsmoked variety and Dooyoo won't provide another link for it so although it is a slightly different product and sauce it's literally called the same. Confused? Well the one I'm reviewing only comes in a squeezy bottle lol. The Packaging: 430g see-through squeezy bottle with a ... Read the complete review

This is the best sauce going and I have it on everything even my meat on a Sunday dinner because I don't like mint sauce much. The thing I like most about it is that it has got a strong tangy taste but it's also a bit sweet and that makes it not too spicy even though you can taste the spices in it. It looks just like brown sauce and goes well with everything you put it on. My favourite way to use it is on a toasted cheese sandwich because I think that tastes so nice and stops the greasy taste you get from hot cheese. It's good on bacon or sausage sandwiches as well or over chips from the chippy. I sometimes put a load on a baked potato and the ... Read the complete review

We are all sauce addicts in my house, be it tomato, brown, burger, relish, salad cream, mayo, reggae reggae, ect.... so we are always eager to try a different one. I picked this one up by mistake as I thought it was the woodsmoke flavour one. It turned out that this is just BBQ flavour, although it say's on the side of the bottle that it gives a smokey flavour so whether they have changed the label or not I'm not to sure. This comes in a square glass bottle with a brown label with HP written across the top in large letters, underneath it say's BBQ with the usual well known picture of the Houses of Parliament. This sauce is of a thick brown colour, with a ... Read the complete review
