When I am being good on my diet I like a bag of Hula Hoops because a 25g multi pack bag only has 129 calories and it feels like there are a lot of crisps in the bag because of the shape of them. I am strong willed when it comes to crisps so I buy one of the 18 pack because I know I will be able to resist eating them every day. My 18 bag multi packs have 4 varieties of Hula Hoops and they are BBQ Beef, Cheese and Onion, Salt and Vinegar and Original. I like them all so I will tell you a little bit about each. Hula Hoops all look the same and have the same texture whatever flavour you choose. They are round and shaped like hoops as you would expect. ... Read the complete review

When it comes to purchasing crisps and snacks to have in the house I tend to go through phases where I buy the same type for a month or two, then get bored and move onto something different. This month I am mostly eating BBQ Beef Flavoured Hula Hoops! (Ref. the Fast Show TV series of the late nineties there, for anyone who cares). For anyone that isn't familiar with the hula hoop, it's a small potato ring, the size of which would fit around an average adult pinkie finger. In a standard single packet you get 27g worth of rings. If you're anything like me, you'll be buying in more bulk quantities and go for the multipacks, which come in 7 or 12 pack (25g) bags ... Read the complete review

The Hoops: For those of you unfamiliar with Hula Hoops, they are little crispy potato rings. I remember when I was younger I used to put the rings on my fingers then bite them off (the rings, not my fingers) great fun, and great for making a mess with too. Sadly, I've since outgrown such appeal (while in public anyway). Taste: Another common problem I find with many 'healthier' product choices is a lack of taste. Hula Hoops Multigrain are no exception to this rule. The variety I tried was 'Cheese and Onion', but the intended flavour was very weak and instead was overpowered by the wholegrain taste; as a result, it was more like ... Read the complete review

I have never been a lover of chocolate, cakes or anything sweet even when I was a kid however put something savoury in front of me especially crisps, I can never say no. One packet will lead to another, this is my downfall when it comes to snacks. Although I love normal crisps, I am still a big kid at heart and love snacks that remind me of my childhood and what I used to snack on then. Hula Hoops is one of those. I remember having Hula Hoops more so as I got older and I have always loved them. Going into the shop today I saw them on a 2 for 50p single packets and I just had to grab some to take back to work with me to snack on this afternoon. Hula ... Read the complete review

Like many people I've been munching on Hula Hoops since I was at Primary School. The distinctive name and bright red packets of the original ready salted have been an instantly recognisable fixture in British stores for many years. Hula Hoops are a reliable and tasty crisp but, now that many of us take more notice of fat and salt content, it seems like an appropriate time to for them to put out an alternative range with less of the bad stuff. Less potato and fat, more rice, maize and wheat. Same great taste but better for you as the blurb probably goes. They may indeed be better for you but I'm not so sure about the taste. The packs are 2g lighter and seem ... Read the complete review
