Disadvantages: ?

I was grown up when hula-hoops were first produced well 19 anyway. Hula-hoops were first launched in 1973.
Hula-hoops are one of the most popular crisp snacks. They are made by K P a brand owned by united biscuits.

Flavours of hula-hoops are original, salt and vinegar BBQ there used to be a cheese and onion and a sizzling bacon flavour, in 2003 these were replaced by cheese toastie and bacon and ketchup. The flavourings of these are sprinkled on the outside of the hoop. In March 2004 K P launched an inside out type of hula-hoop where the flavour is in the mix that makes the hula-hoop as well as sprinkled on the outside. Hula-hoops are available in prawn cocktail and barbeque beef too, possibly some other flavours.

In 1998 Kp was to launch www.hulahoops.co.uk the first snack brand to launch an Internet site.
In 2001 hula-hoops were produced in a mini form too.

Hula-hoops are a potato snack with rice flour and maize flour vegetable oil and salt.
In each 100g there are 514 kilo calories 175 per bag.
These hoops are quite hard and crunchy.

To be honest I am not a great fan of this snack I would rather eat crisps. But children seem to love them.
I prefer the original flavoured ones.
A favourite activity while eating hula-hoops is to see how many will fit on a finger.
Own up who has done this. This would make a great counting activity for your little ones.

They are great at parties a bowl full goes quite a long way they are easy to eat and not messy. I have just thought of a party game each child has a bowl of hula-hoops and a bread stick or twiglet. they have to see how many hula hoops they can get on the bread stick /twiglet . The fat breadsticks may be too fat but I think you can get thin ones. You could decorate a bowl of mashed potatoes with these make a face with the hula hoops the texture of hula hoops and mashed potatoes will be a great contrast.

Hula hoops cost 17p for a single pack at tesco or 88p for a 7 pack also available in 12 packs £1.54 or 21 pack £2.44p

On this note I shall leave you, I wonder how creative you can be with a hula-hoop? Happy crunching. Mary

I haven't eaten these for years. I used to bite them off my fingers but I bit too hard once and ended up with teeth marks on my index finger!
