My son is now at an age where he is readily accepting most finger foods that I offer him, he especially loves fresh fruit, like apples, oranges etc. When I am at home I can easily prepare him fresh fruit, but I find this can be sometimes difficult when I am going out and about, as the fruit doesn't stay as fresh as I would like and it becomes a bit messy, as he isnt yet old enough to eat a full piece of fruit, he has to have it chopped up into small pieces. My friend introduced me to Humzingers fruit stix. You can buy them from most supermarkets and are usually kept in the baking aisle, where the dried fruit is stored. I paid £1.25 for a box of 10 fruit ...  Read the complete review

Fruit stix. Why can't they spell? But anyway ... --- The packaging --- A cardboard box containing ten foil-wrapped fruit bars. The bars are 15g each. The wrappers are appealingly colourful and shiny - well, they appeal to my 15-month-old. They are useful to have in your bag for "emergencies". --- The ingredients --- You get five flavours in a box. They all contain dried pear and either dried apple or dried apricot. Then they have 10-15% of fruit puree of the flavour that the stick is supposed to be. So the Blackcurrant is dried pear, dried apricot, dried apple, and 15% blackcurrant puree. They all contain "natural ...  Read the complete review

I have been buying these for 4 years now. Both my boys love them. My eldest son is very fussy when it comes to textures of food and he doesn't like the texture of some fruit, but he loves these fruit sticks, or (fruit sweets) as we call them. Though we are bombarded with healthy eating campaigns telling us to get our five a day of fruit and veg, most adults usually struggle to meet this quota on a daily basis. When it comes to kids, this target is even harder as lots of children tend to be fussy eaters, particularly when it comes to vegetables. This is where these snack size bars made of dried fruit come in. Each stick contains one of your child's five daily portions of fruit and veg. As the types of fruit used are naturally sweet, no sugar is added and no artificial sweetners are used. In each pack, you get five different fruit flavours which in my opinon, is good, as it stops children getting bored of the ...  Read the complete review

One of my mummy friends gave my daughter one of these humzingers and we have never looked back. They are a chewing compressed fruit bar that is aimes at kids, in Tesco it is sold notin the baby and toddler section, but in the cooks ingredience and school lunch box section. They are 100% fruit with absolutly no added sugar or preservatives. Wondrful to give to kids. And as they are non perishable perfect ot stash in your handbag or nappy bag! They come in packs of 10 and cost £1.99, although have recenty bought a cupboard full as 25% off in Tesco. My kids go mad for them and I am so happy to give them to them as they really are 100% pure fruit, no ...  Read the complete review
