It was my 21st birthday last week and my family threw a barbeque for me, there was a vast variety of food on offer and these skewers were one of the items. There are 12 skewers per pack and these cost £2.00 each from Iceland stores, although you can buy 3 packets for £5.00. The skewers were placed on a baking tray and put in the oven for around 20 minutes before being finished off on the barbeque (mainly to make sure that they were cooked thoroughly). The skewers have about 6 small pieces of chicken on each one and it does look like one giant piece of giant when you first see it but the bite size pieces were perfect for adults and small children ... I don't often shop at Iceland as I find them generally overpriced for the quality of their own brand food, I particularly dislike much of their 'party' food but my daughter recommended these Sticky Chicken Skewers when I mentioned the awfulness that was Sainsbury's Yakitori Skewers to her. I know she has good taste when it comes to party and buffet foods so decided to buy a couple of boxes for the small buffet I was putting on for my granddaughters' on New Years Eve. The twelve skewers need a little longer than the 22 minutes as instructed on the box, but after around 27 minutes they were browned beautifully and were obviously thoroughly cooked. The wooden ...
