Sticky Chicken - Perfect barbeque food! (Iceland Sticky Chicken Skewers)

It was my 21st birthday last week and my family threw a barbeque for me, there was a vast variety of food on offer and these skewers were one of the items.

There are 12 skewers per pack and these cost £2.00 each from Iceland stores, although you can buy 3 packets for £5.00.

The skewers were placed on a baking tray and put in the oven for around 20 minutes before being finished off on the barbeque (mainly to make sure that they were cooked thoroughly). The skewers have about 6 small pieces of chicken on each one and it does look like one giant piece of giant when you first see it but the bite size pieces were perfect for adults and small children alike. The sauce was indeed very sticky and had a lovely oriental flavour to it, it complemented the chicken very well & I had a good 3 or 4 of these (birthday rights after all!).

The chicken was not the highest quality but it was perfectly ample, I don't think that this was breast meat as it was not really white enough but it was fine for a barbeque which contained many other items that were chicken breast.

I was really pleased with these skewers and the 3 packets that had been brought got eaten in record fast time. I was very pleased with the taste of them and that the chicken didn't just break off the skewer as soon as I picked it up. I would highly recommend them and at 45 calories and 4g of fat per skewer they are not that bad at all (yes, the fat content is a little on the high side but it was a barbeque after all!). I am rating these 5/5 as I can't really find anything bad about them at all and I think they would compliment any barbeque or party food night very well.

Summary: Delicious chicken skewers at a fantastic price.
