Advantages: great taste, very cheap
Disadvantages: sugary

Ok, in my previous reviews I said something about living light and healthy but I just couldn't resist the Iceland Sticky Toffee Cheesecake for only 1 Pound - and to be honest, I don't regret it!
The cheesecake is delicious and a real bargain for only 1 Pound. But I have to say that I also tried the strawberry various which I prefer to the Toffee cake. Good for my friend as he prefers the Toffee version.

Look & Taste
The cheesecake looks really tempting when you take it out of the box. It doesn't look like the usual frozen cakes you get, meaning that this one looks like a real proper cake with the cream around it and the caramel flakes on top.
As almost all Iceland products the cake is frozen when you buy it. Defrosting the cake takes around 3 hours and a bit longer if you defrost it in the fridge. That's quite a time to wait when you have that lovely cake smiling at you!
When it's finally ready to serve you'll encounter the first and only problem with the cake - the biscuit is very crumbly and it is almost impossible to cut a peace out and but it on a plate without crumbling most of the biscuit.
Once on a plate the cake looks great, 1 inch of orange biscuit, 1 inch of toffee coloured cheesecake and the top with the sticky toffee and caramel flakes surrounded by cream.
All three layers taste great and work very well together. The biscuit is a little bit too sweet for me but that is the only critics point.
The cheese layer is nice and soft with a sweet taste of toffee. I didn't read the packing properly so I was quite surprised by its intense toffee flavour.
The Toffee does what it says on the packing, it's sticky, it's sweet and it's lovely! I guess that my favourite part of the whole cake is the caramel flakes - I could easily eat the toffee and ignore everything else.
I have to say that I don't like the cream, the cake it already sweet enough and doesn't need this extra topping.
All in all it is a great cake with a lovely taste and absolutely ok for pudding after a family dinner. It's a bit too rich and sweet for me and as the biscuit is quite dominant it's also very heavy. Something that is better enjoyed in winter than in summer!

Ingredients & Nutrition
On the front label Iceland informs us that no hydrogenated fats, artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and GM ingredients were used to produce the cheesecake. All other nutrition information can be found on the back of the box.
Ingredients:
*Cream (23%), Digestive Biscuit (18), Sugar, Toffee Sauce (12%), Low fat soft cheese (9%), Low fat yogurt, Vegetable Margarine, Glucose Syrup, Caramel Curls (1.5%), Egg, Milk powder, flavourings and colours
The cake is suitable for Vegetarians but not for Vegans as it is (obviously) with cheese, egg and milk.
The nutrition info per 1/6 of the cheesecake:
*232 kcal
*Protein - 4.1g
*Carbohydrate - 29.2g
*Fat - 11.0g
*Fibre - 0.6g
*Sodium - 0.2g
*Salt - 0.4g
1/6 of the cheesecake is actually not much, I can easily eat ¼ for pudding when I'm really in the mood for cheesecake.

Price & Value
The 455g Toffee Cheesecake will cost you only one Pound. That's a great prize fort his lovely Cheesecake and given that it is enough for 4 to 6 people it's a real bargain.
I quite like the size of it, I'd never consider buying a big cake just for me and my friend but this is just the right amount for a nice pudding and a snack the next day.
Of course it is incredibly unhealthy - as you'd expect from a cheesecake - but Iceland used good ingredients and sometimes you should allow yourself a little treat.
Well worth the price!
