... instructions are easy enough to follow with little jokes along the way. The pot has to be eaten warm, so don't go buying it as a lunch time snack. I found the vegatables looked quite tasty and really looked forwards to trying them. The Innocent website describes the pot as being " a spicy hearty stew of sweet potatoes, red peppers and smoky paprika, perfect for warming you up on extra chilli days." I'm not really a fan of paprika and I found it slightly overpowering and there wasn't enough sweet potato to...more

I love Innocent smoothies, ok they are overpriced but they are a great way of getting your five a day, so when I spotted the Mexican Sweet Potato Chilli Veg Pot from Innocent, I thought I would give it ago as an accompiant to enchiladas, it was shared between two people. I bought mine in Tesco's but they are available in Waitrose and other big supermarkets for the extorniate amount of £3.49 considering you could buy vegetables and mix them up yourself for half the price but anyway it seemed a quick and easy way to get 3 of the 5 a day into my boyfriend and was a little treat to myself as I am trying to eat healthily. The veg pot is suitable for ...  Read the complete review

Variety is the spice of life especially when it comes to lunch time. I'm always on the look out for something quick, healthy and tasty for the most important hour of the working day. Yesterday i had something very different courtesy of Innocent the smoothie manufactures. Innocent have diversified fr4om smoothies, thickeis and juices into the ready meal market with their veg pots. These are little pots full of fresh vegetables, herbs spices and grains for a guilt free lunch. I chose the Mexican sweet potato chilli . I had little choice , as that was the only one lurking in Tescos reduced cabinet. I had seen them many a time before but i was unwilling to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Innocent Sweet Potato Chilli Veg Pot: Not so hot - but very nice! (1258 words)

After years of selling us squished up fruit, Innocent - those smoothie people - decided it was time to branch out a bit. Logical next step from fruit is veg, although fortunately they've decided not to squish it up! Instead, they've mixed up the vegetables with beans, rice, couscous and other yummy healthy things to create the new range of 'Veg Pots' - basically a veggie-based meal in a microwavable pot, handily providing three of your five a day (add a smoothie, and you hit all five, according to Innocent!). I was attracted to try the Veg Pot range as they are healthy and yet totally lazy to make - sort of posh Pot Noodles, in a way (no, not really). Add in ...  Read the complete review

*Mexican Sweet Potato Chilli Veg Pot from Innocent* I bought mine in Sainsbury's for £3.49 which is a bit pricey considering you could buy an own brand pasta salad for half the price, although I guess they don't contain as much veg or an interesting label to read. It makes a nice occasional treat. You can also buy them in Tesco's and Waitrose. It's suitable for vegetarians and vegans (yay!). This Veg Pot has to be eaten warm so don't buy it as a snack while you're out and about or if your staffroom doesn't have a microwave. It gets 10 out of 10 for presentation but I found it quite hard to stir without slopping some of it over ...  Read the complete review
