... then you could use them with a Cheese board, but I have only just eaten them on their own. the Biscuits are round with lots of pin pricked holes through them. The holes are arranged in circles as well and they look alright. the Biscuits are quite a bright yellow, but they are slightly lighter yellow on the underside of the Biscuits. Since they are so thin you get a good amount in the pack. I didn't count them before me and my husband started nibbling on the pack, but I would say you get about 30 in the pack. The pa...more

Premium Review Jacobs Cheddars: Eating one at a time is not an option! (349 words)

Over Christmas I usually get in a few packs of biscuits to be eaten with cheese. I really enjoy this sort of biscuit but daren't keep them in the house all the while as I would eat far too many of them complete with far too much cheese!! Anyway one of the biscuits I got was a pack of Cheddars at a cost of £1.29 for 150g. These biscuits are made by Jacobs, the cracker people, so they have a history of making good biscuits. The pack is smart and bright in red and yellow with the word Cheddars in black across it and the words 'real cheddar cheese biscuits' written underneath. The biscuits are a couple of inches in diameter and are ...  Read the complete review

Another bagain buy at Asda just now. You are getting 2 packs of these for £1. They normally cost about 85p, and since they were a bargain and I hadn't had them for ages, then I got them! You get these in 2 different flavours, Cheese and Cheese with a hint of Spring Onion. I got 1 of each, as I had never tried the Spring Onion ones. The pack size is 150g. So what are these? They are thin biscuits. I think some people describe these as Crackers as well, and since they are not normal Biscuit consistency, I can see how they have a Cracker feel to them. I guess since these are Cheese based then you could use them with a Cheese board, but I have only just ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jacobs Cheddars: Deliciously moreish cheesy crackers (333 words)

I buy these pretty much every week as I absolutely love them. I usually buy Cornish Wafers as well as these are not the healthiest option (more on that later) but these are my preferred option if I'm honest! What Are They? They are basically a larger version of Mini Cheddars, despite the fact that they are made by a different company. As you can probably guess from the name, they are designed to be cheesy, which is probably why I like them over other types of crackers as they are more tasty. What Do They Taste Like? They definitely have a cheesy tang to them but I wouldn't say that this is overly intense. They really do put me in mind of ...  Read the complete review

Jacobs Cheddars ***What are they like? *** Sometimes when we fancy a snack or perhaps something different for dessert we will have some Cheddar Biscuits. These are little cheesy biscuits and I think it can safely be said they are not very good for you on the whole. Never mind, everyone needs a treat from time to time. They come in an orange and yellow 150g pack and contain as a rough estimate about 30 biscuits. Each biscuit contains 20 calories and 1.2g of fat (0.6g saturated fat). That's not so bad you think and then realise you could probably finish off the pack in a couple of sittings! They do contain milk and gluten and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jacobs Cheddars: cheesy cheddars with more to come (401 words)

Cheddars varieties have made a come back in our house as I haven't bought them for a while. As usual I was out strolling round the supermarket for something a bit different to eat and ended up in the cracker and biscuit aisle. I found myself drawn to the savory section and saw Jacobs Cheddars staring at me from a bargain basket off set to one side of the usual shelf. They were on offer for that week and I was so tempted I bought two packs. 75p per pack not bad. Can't resist a good offer. HA HA. Anyway to cut a long story short I took them home and placed them dutifully in the bicky tin. They did not stay there long I felt them ...  Read the complete review
