Advantages: Healthier than a chocolate digestive. Taste delicious. Great for kids packed lunches

Disadvantages: Once you eat one, you'll want more & more & more...

What can I say about this irresistible snack produced by McVities? They are to die for! I've always enjoyed Jaffa Cakes but recently I've found myself eating them more often - oops! This is probably due to the fact my work has them in the canteen every day but hey, who can resist them? Because I certainly cant! The size of the Jaffa Cake is just perfect. They are the ideal size for snacking in-between meals and not only that, but they contain 25% less calories and 65% less fat than your average chocolate digestive biscuit!

My favourite part of these little cake is the sponge on the bottom. Its is quite crumbly, it compliments the chocolate and orange flavouring and tastes delicious.

So what is a Jaffa Cake?

Jaffa Cake's are an extremely popular snack / cake produced by McVities. McVities have a wide range of products such as Digestive Biscuits, Rich Tea's etc. One of the reasons Jaffa Cakes are so popular is because they contain a lot less fat than your usual biscuits. So you can have a tasty treat whilst still watching your fat and calorie in take.

The regular sized Jaffa Cake is of a circular shape and is approximately 54mm in diameter and 7mm in depth. There are also three layers to the cake, the first being sponge, 2nd a layer of orange jelly and lastly a coating of milk chocolate. The cakes also come in a tube or box consisting of approximately 12 cakes and a smaller tub consisting of 6 mini Jaffa Cakes.

Children are quite fond of Jaffa Cakes and they make a healthier alternative to your usual chocolate biscuit. Also, the mini cakes are handy for packing in your little one's lunch box.

The Jaffa Cakes are available nationwide in most retail shops and cost about £1.00 for a pack of 12. Also, Supermarkets tend to produce their own version of the cakes and they cost a lot cheaper. However, the quality and taste don't quite match the quality and taste of McVitie's Jaffa Cakes.

Thank you for reading my review and I hope you enjoy these tasty little treats as much as I do!

Summary: Another delicious snack produced by McVities

And from a weight watchers point of view they are only 1 point! So not bad for a snack point of view!
