I normally prefer to bake cakes from scratch, particularly if I'm making something as simple as muffins. However, my 6 year old daughter wanted to make some cakes to serve to her friends who were coming over for tea so I went shopping for suitable cake toppings and spotted this Jane Asher Milkybar baking mix priced at just 99p in my local B&Ms store. I do have to admit that this was not my first baking mix, but it was on offer and looked very tempting! I really like the convenience that these baking mixes offer and the Jane Asher brand is a trusted name in this field. The packaging has a picture of the Milky Bar Kid on the front and is in the milky bar colours of cream and red. Next to the Milky Bar Kid there is a picture of a decorated cake with butter-cream and milky bar buttons. The front of the packaging also contains nutritional information in a table and in a circular graphic contains information about the preparation and cooking time of the cakes.
