John West Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil. ================================= Packaging. ~~~~~~~~~ The Tuna tin is not that distinctive and comes in a green and yellow palm sized tin. It does not have the usual ring pull but instead needs the attention of a tin opener. Which can leave a sharp edged rim but remember to always take it completely off, better for any wild life that may try to stick its nose in the tin somewhere down the line. I have pretty much always found that not spilling a little oil, especially when removing the lid, is impossible. Leaving the tin a little slippy and drippy. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had tinned tuna until I used this the other day! I'm not a very healthy person usually and consume an awful lot of junk food. However I'm getting fit and healthy, working out almost every-day and watching what I eat so I grabbed some tins of fish the other day and this I bought in Sainsbury's costing me 92p cos I wanted to make a tuna pasta bake, shove some in a pitta with salad for a quick snack and that kind of thing! We eat quite a lot of tinned tuna in our house as my other half absolutely loves tuna mayonnaise and the like; he often takes it to his work with him for his lunch. Because we go through so much of it, I tend to try and buy it in bulk, as it usually works out to be a lot cheaper than buying individual cans as and when we need them. I was pleased, therefore, when my partner came home with four tins of "John West tuna in Sunflower oil" and happily informed me that all four tins had cost the purse-friendly sum of £1.19 from a local grocer.
