As of late I haven't really treated myself much too any kinds of biscuits and chocolates as I am trying to loose weight for the summer but also because I haven't had a lot of money so it has been more about eating sensibly. On my shopping trip this week I decided to go down the chocolate aisle as I am not really that big a chocolate fan but I had quite fancied some this particular week. I looked at the offers and they had my favourite sweet snack, Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares but not the marshmallow ones the Chocolate and Caramel ones which have always been my favourite as they are just that bit better than the originals. The history of the company is it ... Read the complete review

Kelloggs Squares are something that I have very recently been introduced to. When I heard about them from my fiance I decided that the next time I saw them I would indulge our sweet tooths and treat us to a few nice snacks from the four that they currently offer in the range, so when I spotted 2 packs (4 in a pack) from Tesco stores for £3.00 I picked the Chocolatey ones (I'm all about the chocolate!) and the Chocolate & Caramel ones (even sweeter with an added extra). These 'Squares' are oblong in shape and are around 4-5 inches long, 2 inches wide & around 1/2 an inch thick. These ones come wrapped in a golden foil which shows Kelloggs brand ... As a fan of a nice bowl of Kelloggs Rice Krispies served with ice cold milk in the morning, when I stumbled across these in the cereal aisle of my local supermarket, I have to admit I was drawn. Rice Krispies, chocolate and caramel in a bar? I just had to have a taste. Here, Kelloggs have lightly toasted the cereal before mixing it with soft but chewy caramel (more the consistency of the centre of a Rolo than toffee). This scrumptious mixture is then moulded into the shape of the bar before being drizzled liberally with melted chocolate, and bitesize chunks of delicious chocolate. It is then left to set before being packaged and sent our way to tempt us! This ... Read the complete review

These were on offer this week- half price at 77p for a packet of four- at my local generic supermarket chain so decided to buy some for my lunch box as hadn't tried this variety before. It is fair to say my opinion was mixed..... For those who have never had a Rice Krispie square bar before, they are best described as like one of those Krispie cakes we all made as kids a long, long time ago.....the traditional variety are plain Rice Krispies bound together with melted marshmellow but you can also get this choc caramel flavour and a crazy choc variety that has Smartie-like chocolate imbedded through it (which are very naughty and indulgent!) I will openly admit that I am a cereal addict. Although I do prefer the 'healthier', fruitier options, I do like a good sweet cereal now and again! One of my childhood favourites is Rice Krispies. I used to love spending the afternoon making Rice Krispie cakes with my mam! I will admit now that I do not exactly enjoy stirring away the bowl alone, watching them cook in the oven by myself. Thankfully I can buy an equivelant, in the form of Rice Krispies Squares Chocolate and Caramel! It was only last week that I discovered out school canteen served these. Though with no money on my card I was unable to buy. Darn, that was a craving just kicking in, too. That ... Read the complete review
