Advantages: A filling breakfast to take you till lunch time

Disadvantages: A bit sweet for me

I bought a box of this cereal 2 or 3 weeks ago from Asda, they had them on a special offer price of a pound a box (375g). I remember enjoying these years ago but have not bought them for a while as I would normally buy the shops own brand cereals (much cheaper).

***The Packaging***

It's not a particularly big box at 375g which is apparently 12 servings. I prefer to buy this sized box because it can stand upright in my cereal cupboard instead of laying on it's side and risking spilling out of the box. The packaging is the recognisable yellow cardboard box with a very appealing bowl of the cereal on there too. The box is easy to open and even has instuctions on the top! The flakes are also inside a plastic bag, which is heat sealed at either end to seal in the freshness. The bag is also easy to open, just pinch and separate, although sometimes it tears and this will cause flakes to go everywhere when pouring out.

***The Product***

The Cereal is made by Kellogg's so you know that you are getting a quality product. The description from the box tells you exactly what you are getting. "Golden flakes of corn with brown sugar, peanuts and honey". The flakes are crunchy with plenty of nuts stuck to them. they are sweet but not overly so. They box says 1 serving is 30g, now I have never weighed them out, I just keep pouring them into the bowl until I think they won't overflow once the milk is in. I reckon though that i am having about the 30g. This is filling enough to keep me going to lunch time.

Each 30g serving with 125ml of skimmed milk contains:
178 kcals
17g sugar
3.5g fat
1.5g saturates
0.5g salt

***Summary***

These are very nice to have, I don't think I could eat them everyday though as I like a bit of variety and they are sweet, not sickeningly sweet, but just a bit more than I prefer (not as bad a sugar puffs though). I don't think anyone could eat too much of these as they are quite filling. They are good quality for a pound a box (for 12 breakfasts). I would recommend these if you prefer sweet cereals. What I like most about them is getting to the bottom of the packet and getting all the loose bits of nut that have fallen off the flakes.

Summary: something different for my breakfast
