Advantages: taste great, healthy

Disadvantages: none

Just imagine the scene, you're tucked up in your warm cosy bed after a lovely nights sleep. Its cold and probably raining outside. Why would you want to get up?....to have your breakfast of course. Well thats what helps me get up in the morning anyway. A great big bowl full of crunchy nut cornflakes covered in cold milk. Mmmmmm.

Crunchy nut cornflakes can be brought from any supermarket or local grocery store. They come in either 500g or 750g boxes, and cost from £2 to £4 depending on where you get them from and what size box you get.

They are made by Kelloggs. The boxes are mainly yellow with a picture of the cornflakes at the bottom. It shows more of the cornflakes falling down and splashing into the milk. Kelloggs is written in red writing in the top left hand corner of the box, and crunchy nut written in large black letters, underneath this it says irresistibly good. This is very very true!

You have probably guessed already that I love crunchy nut cornflakes. I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day as you probably haven't eaten anything for 7 - 10 hours whilst you have been in bed.

Crunchy nut cornflakes are a healthy cereal that is good for your heart, helps concentration and gives you the energy that you need.

The side of the box gives you all the nutritional information that you will need. A 30g serving of crunchy nut cornflakes provides at least 50% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of folic acid, 25% RDA of vitaminss thiamin, ribroflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and 17% RDA of the mineral iron. The serving provides 180 calories if served with 125ml of semi skimmed milk.

Crunchy nut cornflakes are suitable for vegetarians. They contain peanuts so if you have an allergic reaction to these then you shouldn't eat them. The ingredients are written on the side of the box and you should check these before you eat them incase they contain anything else that
you may be allergic to.

Each flake is about the size of a 20 pence piece and covered in honey and peanuts. I have tasted Kelloggs cornflakes and didn't like them very much, but the ctunchy nut variety are great. They are very crunchy but if left in the milk for a few minutes they go soft, but they are still just as nice.

I would recommend crunchy nut cornflakes every morning, lunchtime or evening because they are so delicious.

These are part of the 'drop a jean size challenge' at the moment. Substitute your lunch for a bowl of either these or Special K and you'll drop a size in two weeks!
