Advantages: Pretty colours!
Disadvantages: Not a nice taste
Froot Loops...well I must say I'm glad that they aren't commonly found here! Originally, there were red, orange, and yellow loops, but green, then purple and finally blue were added in the 1990s.
I was shopping on an American sweets website and thought I'd look in the breakfast section and came across these. On the website I was on they cost £6.50 for a normal sized box! After I saw that I thought noooo way to expensive! I'd rather get a box of cookie crisp I think! Then I found that they had portion packs (1 serving) for £1.70, which isn't cheap, but as I really wanted to know what they tasted like I bought them.
When this item came it looked like a Muller yoghurt pot with a foil lid. It was in a bright red tub with the picture you can see above (a colourful parrot leaning from a tree). It also shows a bowl of multi-coloured loops in a bowl with milk. The design is very bright and would easily catch your eye if you saw this in a supermarket.
I opened the foil lid, and immediately a strong fruity smell came wafting out! Even though it smelt nice, it wasn't what I was expecting. I poured on milk and got eating! I don't think I'd be able to stomach this every morning. These multi-grain loops have a very sweet taste and left the milk in your bowl looking a greyish colour; not very attractive! I'm defiantly glad that I didn't buy a large box!
The taste of these so called 'Froot Loops' bears no resemblance to actual fruit whatsoever. To be honest they taste more of sugar than anything and smell so different from the taste. It has the weirdest taste that you wouldn't expect cereal to have and you can only just make out that these loops have a very small taste like any kind of fruit, as you can only just make them out to be a citrus taste.

I don't think I'd by this product again, though nice idea to get kid's eating breakfast.
