Advantages: Yummy moist cakes, ideal with a cuppa
Disadvantages: Not enough per pack!
We tend to buy a lot of cereal bars in our house, but the first I heard about Nutri-Grain Elevenses was when I was pregnant with my first child six years ago.
I was given a pack called "Emma's Diary" which contained lots of pregnancy booklets etc (obviously) but there was a free sample of an Elevense.
The free sample was raisin flavour, which I have to admit was very tasty, so I started buying them quite often. After a while Kellogg's knew they were on to something so started branching out into different flavours, which brings me to this review... Choc Chip flavour (Mmmmmmm......!!!!!!!)
Being a fan of most things chocolatey I was very excited to try these- I'm kidding myself I'm eating something naughty like cake for breakfast knowing full well it's something good for me!
What are they?~
They come in a box of 6, and are individually wrapped, mini cakes which are made up of lots of oats, barley, wheat etc. and chocolate chips!
The taste~
They look like mouth watering cakes, but do they taste like a treat, or are they masquerading as one? Well the answer is yes they are a treat. These really do taste as good as they look! They are very moist and not too crumbly, and there are sufficient amounts of chocolate pieces to satisfy any chocoholics craving.
The packaging~
As I said they are individually wrapped for convenience-ideal for lunch boxes or to pop in your bag. The wrappers on the bar are a rich chocolate brown colour, quite fittingly and so is the box they come in, which has the words Nutri-Grain Elevenses and a picture of the bar next to a cup of hot steamy tea.
The price~
Expect to pay around £1.50 to £2 depending on where you shop.
Miscellaneous~
Although they are a healthier option, each 45g bar does contain 15g of sugar. Allergy sufferers beware they contain milk, soy, wheat, oats and barley.

Elevenses can be found near the cereal bars which tend to be near the cracker/biscuit isle in your supermarket.
Summary: would buy again
