I've enjoyed Nutri-Grain Oat Baked Bars for years, I was rather tempted to try their new products- the Nutri-Grain Elevenses range. I was suitably impressed. The taste was mouthwateringly great. In fact, as soon as had opened the foil packaging, its gingery smell wafted out to me. The cake looked moist and scrumptious. I wanted to bite a huge chunk very quickly, but I knew this was something I had to make last. Nibbling at the cake, I was however, sadly aware of what was in the cake. Unfortunately, it's not the healthiest of snacks, but it tastes it. In each bar there is 134 calories, which isn't bad and only 4g of fat and 0.5g of saturated fat. The ... Read the complete review

Having previously reviewed the Nutri-Grain Oat Baked Bars and being rather impressed, I was pleased to recently pick up a box of Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Elevenses Ginger Bakes on offer for half price in Tesco at just £1.14. Bargain! They are marketed as a snack cake, something to have at 'elevenses' and the box states 'tasty bakes for lovers of cakes'. As a lover of cakes how could I resist? Packaging ********* The bars are described as 'wheat and oatmeal bakes with ginger' and are individually foil wrapped within an outer box.
