Kellogg's Pop Tarts
I have a slight addiction to these Kellogg's pop tarts especially the chocolate variety. They were out when I was younger and my mum would never buy them for me so I suppose I am making up for lost time now. They come as far as I am aware only in two flavours, chocolate or strawberry. I have tried the strawberry ones only once and thought that they nowhere compared to the gorgeousness that was the chocolate variety.
They cost £1.99p and I have seen them available in most supermarkets such as Tesco or Morrison's. They come packaged in a cardboard box and inside are wrapped up in silver foil in a portion size of two tarts. In total there are 8 tarts in a box making four different portions wrapped up.
A portion size of two tarts can sometimes be a little two much but they are not liable to go too soft even if you only eat one from a portioned packed. They are already cooked so can be eaten cold, straight out of the packet but I much prefer to heat them up in the toaster. You have to be so careful as they can get very hot indeed and once the chocolate stuck to the roof of my mouth and I am sure I still have a large scar there so remind me not to be too hasty to eat them again!
Pop tarts are basically chocolate pastry treats. They are around 10cm in length and 5 in width. They have a chocolate icing coating on the top and inside is gooey chocolate spread filling. This filling is what really gets hot when you heat the pop tart in the toaster so be careful!
The taste of the pop tarts is really second to none. They are very sweet and certainly give you that chocolate run that is so often needed. I have never looked at the calorie content and do not intent to now for this review for fear of being put off them for life. I expect they are really bad for you because they taste so good. The way the icing layer on the outside is sweet and crunchy along with the chocolate pastry case that just seems to crumble in the mouth. Then once you reach the centre and the gooey filling oozes out it really gives you a taste sensation!
I can easily finish the whole box within a few days just because they are so tasty and decidedly moreish! I have had a look on line and it looks as though they have their own website but it seems a little like gibberish but it does appear there are more flavours available than I first though but these I found are not widely available.
I would highly recommend these pop tarts to anyone with a sweet tooth and of course for all chocolate lovers out their. They taste good, are a reasonable price and are just chocolate heaven! Of course not knowing the calorie content makes them calorie free! So no guilt wither! 10/10
I hope this has been of some help to you. Enjoy your tarts!!!
