Advantages: Taste lovely, handy snack

Disadvantages: Expensive, quite fattening

Ever since i have been a young child, i have completely loved Pop Tarts. They are made by Kelloggs and this review is about the Chocotastic ones. I hadnt had Pop Tarts for ages until i was in Asda a few days ago and saw them in the cereal aisle.

They cost me £2.17 for a box of eight Pop Tarts (works out at about 27p each) I think that this is actually quite expensive as i remember them being a lot cheaper! They come in lots of different varieties depending on your own personal taste. They can be eaten by placing in the toaster and heating or they can be eaten cold from the pack. I prefer them warm as it melts the chocolate inside the Pop Tart and it tastes all gooey and filling. They can be eaten for breakfast or just as a snack throughout the day.

They come in a square cardboard box and are opened by a flap at the top of the box. The Pop Tarts inside are wrapped in little foil packets for freshness. The chocotastc ones are completely gorgeous! When you toast them they can get very hot so be careful you use a napkin or something else while holding them. When i bite into them, they taste crunchy on the outside and taste soft with lovely gooey rich chocolate on the inside. They taste very sweet so eating too many at once may make you feel a little bit sick.

They are quite filling and i usually eat two at once - there are two holes in the toaster so why not! lol The box advises me to store them in a cool dry place. Although i think Pop Tarts are getting expensive, they may be cheaper if you shop around for them and can get them on offer somewhere. If you can, let me know and ill buy more! :)

As you can see from the nutritional information, they are quite fattening so maybe should be avoided by dieters. If you buy them though, youre sure to get a lovely sweet chocolatey treat!
