... Oats and Honey with less than 3% fat. Each 30g serving contains; 115 calories 7g sugars 0.8g fat 0.2g saturates 0.2g salt This cereal is basically crunchy honey rice and wheat flakes mixed with cereal. To look at the cereal it looks like it's going to be quite a dry and bland cereal but I enjoyed eating it both with and without milk. The flakes are a generous size, they provide the crunch within the cereal, the honey rice is small, soft and fluffy and overall the cereal tastes satisfyingly sweet, yet not sugary ...more

Premium Review Kellogg's Special K Oats & Honey: I'd rather have a bacon buttie! (400 words)

I like to eat cereal for my breakfast and occaisionally as a snack throughout the day, and have tried loads of varietys. One of the cereals I regularly eat is Special K. I try to eat Special K as I beleive it is healthy, however because they taste slightly bland I end up putting sugar on the top which is defeating the purpose of it being good for me. When I saw the Special K Oats and Honey on the supermarket shelf, I thought I'd give them a try instead of the normal sort. *The Purchase* This cereal can be purchased at most supermarkets and is rather pricey unless the supermarket has a offer on. I paid £2.69 for a 425g box, which is a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not so special honey! (690 words)

When I was doing my online Asda shop a few days a go I got pulled in by one of those pop-ups that showed a selection of brand name cereals for just £1. I have been a little bored with my cereal lately and would never pay the usual £2.69 that these cost so I decided to treat myself to a packet. When they arrived and I saw the box I felt slightly let down because the box was very small (425g) and I knew it wouldn't last me five minutes because I tend to eat double to three times the RDA. Anyway as I was unpacking my shopping I got a little peckish and opened up the box to sample a handful without milk. I gave the box a shake first, peeled back the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kellogg's Special K Oats & Honey: For my "K", who is special! (792 words)

As part of myself and my husband new "health kick" I have had to change my way of thinking snack wise. Now I know many of you think I shouldn't be snacking or encouraging my husband to snack, but without a bit of something to look forwards to. Please no smutty comments to that statement, we have been together for 15 years, I'm lucky if I can be arsed to raise a smile after being at work all day! My final idea, snack wise, was the fact that we both enjoy cereal, and as we never have the time to eat breakfast in the morning, we wouldn't get bored with eating some at night. On one of our shopping trips to Asda, and as is always the case in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Special K - Gives Birth to a New Variety - Oats & Honey (804 words)

Here we go again. The Special K family is diversifying faster than I can keep track of. I've barely finished one new blend when they've given birth to a new one. This time, the newest addition to the family is Special K Oats & Honey. I simply had to buy this, with a little pressure from my daughter who loves any cereal that boasts the word 'honey' in its title. Special K has long been touted as a great way to lose weight. 'The Special K Challenge' is just one of the associations with diets that Special K has had over the years. However, if you're planning to diet using breakfast cereal, you can find a whole host of different brands ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kellogg's Special K Oats & Honey: They're oaty (275 words)

I tried the Special K Oats and Honey after being given a couple of trial size packs. These packs are 30g so a normal size serving. For those of you interested in nutritional stats here they are: Calories 174 based on semi-skimmed milk. Carbohydrate 29g Fat 3g Fibre 0.9g Sodium 0.15g There's also a list of vitamins contained within the product. The difference between these and normal Special K is of course the addition of oats and honey so the usual malty flakes are still there. There's also a few bits that resemble rice crispies and when I checked the pack it does indeed contain "puffed brown ...  Read the complete review
