Advantages: good low fat

Disadvantages: price

Eh when I was a nipper they only made special k in the plain conventional flavour. Now you can get special K with red berries, purple berries, peach and apricot, yoghurt. This product has recently had a big advertising campaign with “drop a jean size”
No I have not been eating bowls of cereal as a meal substitute but Instead of toast for breakfast recently I have been eating special K for breakfast. I though it was probably healthier than the toast with butter dripping from it and lashings of marmalade. Special K states these cereals are 99% fat free.

Just recently I have has the purple berry variety to eat. As with the other special k cereals I find it a little sweet so usually put in a few bran flakes. This is much better makes an enjoyable breakfast.
The packet this cereal is in is a distinctive packet with the special K logo surrounded with a few cereal flakes and some purple berries. I pour some cereal into a bowl and the special k flakes fall into it with a few pieces of freeze dried fruit
The purple berries are blackberries, blueberries, and blackcurrants. Not many pieces of fruit 5% I read on packet. I occasionally add some fresh fruits to my bowl of cereal we had masses of raspberries this year so I added some.
Think me strange but I do not eat milk with my cereal but the normal person would add some milk.
Now to eat my breakfast, the flakes of cereal are crispy and crunchy a little sweet.
The blackberries are nice still fairly large and juicy tasted like blackberries. The black currants a smaller fruit still tasted like black currants, they were a little chewy. The blueberries well could not discern much taste and they were hollow dry fruits, I guess the larger fruits freeze dry with better results. I thought the fruit mix was good shall be adding a few of my own blackberries to it maybe. Over all I like this cereal, think I prefer the peach and apricot one though.
I do not eat this cereal as a slimming aid so can not tell you about that. If you have dairy or what allergy do not eat as special K contains milk ingredients
Contains wheat Contains barley however it is a cereal suitable for vegetarians

I would recommend this cereal for breakfast but it is a bit sweet so needs those added bran flakes. I have heard of people having success with losing weight eating the 2 meals a day recommendations, maybe I ought to try it get rid of my excess wobbly bits.

Summary: a low fat cereal with freeze dried fruits

I usually have yoghurt on my cereal - like another commenter below, I think the red berries are better than the purple one.
