Description: Breakfast Cereals

... Morrisons, but Sainsburys do stock them. They are not cheap, about £2.80 for a 400g box, but I think they are worth every penny. Cornflakes are bout £2.00 for a 750g box, so they are quite a bit more expensive. They are probably quite fattening, so will not help with the diet. They are about 234 calories for 40g of cereal plus 125 ml of semi skimmed milk. Rice crispies and cornflakes are about 226 cals for the same amount. I think that the problem is that they are so nice you will be tempted to eat much more. I don...more

As my son has just turned two I like to encourage him to try as many different foods as possible in the hope that he won 't grow up a fussy eater. He does usually have cereal for breakfast and tend to buy different cereals ever week. One of his favourites is crunchy nut cornflakes I bought a box of this cereal from Tesco's last week as they are currently on offer as two boxes for £3. Each box contains 400g and if you follow the recommended guide per portion of 40g that would give you ten servings. If you follow the recommended 40g bowl a serving contains: 175 calories 13g of sugars 6 grams of fat 0.6g ...  Read the complete review

Allright, so, two weeks ago I bought our first packet of Crunchy Nut Clusters cereal, as I am currently on a brekky-eating initiative. I thought they were great. But come the first weekend after purchase, I found only a thin layer of crumbly Crunchy Nut Clusters 'swarf' left in the bottom of the box.....scenes of 'who's been eating all my special cereal?' ensued, and as it turns out my other half and the sprog had also been quietly enjoying the clusters, unbeknownst to me. An all-round family success, then! Accordingly I went to Tescos to get more, but by mistake picked up a packet of this rubbish - which I didn't previously know existed - instead. The ...  Read the complete review

A couple of months ago I stayed over at my boyfriend's house and when I looked in his cereal cupboard in the morning I came across this new cereal that I had never tried before. He said they were really nice so I thought I'd give them a go. I'm quite a fan of Crunchy Nut cereal anway and particularly like the Crunchy Nut clusters. Anyway I polished the cereal's off pretty quickly! They were absolutely delicious! They are nutty and have little blobs of chewy caramel in the bites and are absolutely lovely with or without milk! They are really quite sweet, and I'm a sucker for sweet cereals! So I thought I would keep a look out for the cereals but ...  Read the complete review

I saw these crunchy nut bites advertised on tv, and being a fan of the original crunchy nut flakes and all things sweet decided to give these a try. This cereal by kellogs is indeed extremely sweet and therefore not one I'd recommend to eat everyday, or for kids really - but it does taste great. The 'bites' themselves comprise of oat and maize cereals as well as nuts and chewy caramel bits. My favourite part is the caramel as it adds lots of sweetness and I love the chewy texture, it's a lovely contrast to the crunchy peanuts. Regarding the nutritional value of this cereal, nuts are supposedly a source of good fats. A 40g serving of crunchy nut ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Bites Nuts & Caramel: Crunchy, Chewy.....Irresistible! (495 words)

The Nuts and Caramel version of Crunchy Nut bites are new, and as yet un-reviewed on Dooyoo. When I say new, they have been available for a good few months but Kellogg's still class them as new. This is signified by the exclamation of "NEW Crunchy & Chewy!" emblazoned within a flash of blue and white at the top of the predominantly Yellow and Red/Brown box. The packaging itself is the standard cereal cardboard box with the tab style flaps on the top edge so the box can be easily sealed once opened. Inside is the usual clear bag containing the actual cereal, which pleasingly seemed to fill 90% of the bag. This particular box is 400g and suggests ...  Read the complete review
