Advantages: They are a nice sweet start to the day, not to high in calories and taste lovely
Disadvantages: They contain a lot of sugar
I like cereal very much and always have a bowl for either my breakfast or my supper. Frosties are one of my favourite cereals and have been for many years.
To describe a Frostie I have to make the obvious comparison to cornflakes because they are very similar in looks and taste. The Frosties flakes are quite small and they make a lovely tinkling noise as I pour them into my bowl.
Frosties are coated in sugar and this is what makes them so nice to eat. When I pour the milk on them they go a little bit soft but still stay crunchy for a while.
They taste very nice. It is quite a sweet cereal because of the sugar used on the flakes but it doesn't exactly taste of sugar. I think the sugary coating is more like icing sugar than sugar that you put in your tea and coffee because it has a very mild taste as well as being very sweet. The flakes taste like cornflakes to me.
I think Frosties are quite filling but not as filling as when I have Alpen or Bran Flakes for my breakfast. A 30g bowl of Frosties with 175ml milk is 170 calories and I thought it would be more because of the sugar on the Frosties. They cost £1.89 from Sainsburys for quite a big box that lasts me for a long time, they stay fresh in the box for a while as long as I remember to roll down the paper bag inside.
Summary: Sweet and crunchy
