Kelloggs Frosties are one of the most well known breakfast cereals out there. They sell millions of boxes all over the world. Tony the Tiger is the well known mascot and appears on the box and related television commercials.

Kelloggs claim that Frosties are made from Tony's Secret Formula! The flakes are really crunchy and good tasting but packed with sugar. They claim to be packed with carbohydrates and that one serving will provide half the recommended daily allowance of three B-vitamins. These supposedly help convert food into energy.

The ingredients dont look bad on first inspection...
Maize, Sugar, Barley Malt Flavouring, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Niacin, Iron, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin (B1), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12.
The problem comes with the amount of sugar packed in. Per serving there is 11g of sugar! Thats 12% of your daily intake of sugar (and thats an adults amount). Imagine how much that would be in child terms.

You can buy Frosties in most well known supermarkets, the price per pack is around £2 which isn't bad but more expensive than the supermarket own brands.

I cannot recommend this product for children as it contains far too much sugar. Although they are undoubtably delicious they arn't a healthy start to the day.
