Advantages: Tasty, keep you going all morning, good snack

Disadvantages: Can get sick of them after a while

Mmmmm, sugar coated Frosties. The cereal I loved as a child, but wasn't allowed to have too much of. I always hated corn flakes, finding them far too bland and boring, which not much substance to them, but Frosties were kind of like cord flakes dressed to impress, with a sort of suguary glaze coating that made them sweeter, and feel more substantial.

Best served with ice cold milk, over the years I tinkered with different ways to have my Frosties, and I'm sure many of you will find this unnecessary, but a top way to have them is to make them as normal, but then put the bowl in the fridge for five minutes or so. Then take it out and add fresh frosties on top! This way the milk has already got that great sweet taste, but the milk is still cold, plus you have the crunch from the fresh Frosties.... I am so sad!

Not only are Frosties great for breakfast, but also make for a quick and easy snack at any time of the day. Something I don't do as much any more, but used to all the time, was to eat them straight from the pack, without milk, when watching a movie or something similar, almost as an alternative to buscuits, crisps or popcorn.

I recently tried Kelloggs new version of Frosties, I think they were sugar free - but after one bowl, the pack went straight in the bin. They were foul. I've also had the pleasure or trying other brand's alternatives, and they just really don't match up.

With each bowl, you are looking at around 100-140 calories, depending on the type of milk you use, which as a meal, really isn't all that bad, especially as they contain fibre and lots of other goodies that will keep you going all morning.

I did go through a period of having Frosties for breakfast every morning for quite a few weeks, and even though I love them, there is a point where you get sick of them, so I'd advise that you chop and change cereals often.

Summary: A decent breakfast cereal, especially if you have a bit of a sweet tooth
