... cereal is probably the wheat flakes that are very good for you. They have a relatively high level of dietary fibre, although it does not contain as much of this as bran-based cereals (such as Bran Flakes or All-Bran) normally do. To sum Fruit and Fibre up it is a delicious blend of wholewheat flakes packed with yummy fruits including raisins, coconut, banana, apple and hazelnuts!! Personally, I think this is one of the fruitiest cereals I have ever tried. With some you find that there isn't much fruit but there is plenty ...more

Premium Review Kelloggs Fruit and Fibre: Wake up to a taste sensation (812 words)

My favourite meal of the day has got to be breakfast. For some reason when I get up from bed, I am always starving hungry. So I look forward to my breakfast, more than any other mealtime. Saying that I don't really go for bacon, eggs and all the trimmings. (unless I have a hangover!) I always enjoy more of a balanced breakfast and along with my fruit juice I must have a bowl of really good quality cereal. I have been using Kellogg fruit and fibre for quite a while now and I have to say that although It is quite a bit more expensive that shop branded cereal It in my opinion is far more appealing. The packaging The packaging is quite bright and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not a bad cereal, but there are better (320 words)

Well this is the cereal I tend to eat when I'm trying to be healthy. I don't eat it to often really, as I prefer other ones such as Cornflakes or maybe Weetabix. But this is the one I feel I should eat. So Kelloggs Fruit and Fibre is basically Bran Flakes (which taste like cardboard) with Raisens, dried banana, coconut, apple, and hazelnuts. This makes the cereal interesting as there is plenty of different flavors. My favorites are the raisens and I quite often add a few extra ones to increase the taste. They are a nice chewy includement whereas everything else in there is quite hard and crunchy. An average bowl of Fruit and Fibre contains ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kelloggs Fruit and Fibre: not for those with dentures/allergies (458 words)

I'm not really a cereal-lover but always buy it for my daughter who religiously eats it for her breakfast every day. I found a 750g box of Kellogg's Fruit & Fibre (750g) on offer recently at Tesco for just over £3 so thought this would make a change from her usual favourites. The box is very tempting with it's pale purple background & 'healthy-looking' picture of a spoonful of the cerael & milk plus chopped apples, grapes & nuts etc giving the overall impression that the product is for those who care about their health? I'm told from information on the box that Fruit & Fibre contains wholewheat flakes with raisins, coconut, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review surprisingly good (390 words)

I am not really a big fruit person nor I am I fibre fan. It all just seems a bit too try-hard healthy for me. So I was fairly sceptical about this when it was brought home back from the supermarket. One day however all the 'good cereals' had run out and there was a choice between this and Rice Krispies. Seeing as Rice Krispies leave you hungry an hour after breakfast I decided to give this a go. You will find the box quite easy to spot in the cereal aisle as it is bright purple. If you're a fruit fan then I think the picture on the front of the box would look very appealing. There is a picture of the wheat flakes on a spoon with loads of fruit including ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kelloggs Fruit and Fibre: Ooooo Fruity! (581 words)

I'm not really a huge breakfast cereal fan, I'd much rather tuck into a couple of lices of hot buttered marmite toast anyday. Bread really doesn't do my waistline any favours though, it is my complete dietry weakness and to be honest I coud probably put away far more than 2 slices. I love bread so much, I have to be really strict with how much I eat, as it really bloats me and I'm sure contributes to my weight gain. So I've forced myself to try and eat cereal for breakfast in the morning and have been searching for varieties that are tasty and filling without being too packed with sugar and nasties. When I was staying with my mum a few weeks ago, I was ...  Read the complete review
