Kelloggs have a wide range of cereal bars which can be eaten for breakfast or as snacks during the day. They normally cost a bit less than 2 Pounds for 8 of them if you buy them at Tesco or Asda, or you can also find them in some newsagents for 35-40 pennies each. Each bar contains around 130 calories, which I think is not enough for breakfast, but surely more than enough for a snack. I personally eat them more as snacks during the day and/or when I am out cycling. Each bar is individually wrapped and one thing i found is that you need to be careful when you open them, because some time I apply to much strenght and I end up tearing up the bar ... Until a couple of years ago, I rarely ate breakfast (unless it was a dirty great bacon sarnie after a night on the tiles). It turns out that eating breakfast is an important part of your daily diet if you are calorie counting (as breakfast keeps you from getting so hungry you're ready to eat a horse at lunchtime). In fact, people who eat a regular healthy breakfast tend to be slimmer than those who don't. Ideally, of course, breakfast should be a meal - cereal, or toast eaten at a table at leisure. Nutri-Grain Soft Bake Bars - Apple and Blackberry are one of the cereal bars I have on rotation to keep my grumbling tummy quiet until lunch! I buy my bars in boxes of 8 which, at £2.19 from Tesco's, makes each bar approximately 27 pence each. Not a bad price and the box will last you over a week (assuming you can limit yourself to one per day!) The bars themselves have a soft oaty outer layer with a filling through the centre of blackberry and apple flavouring that has a jam-like consistency.
