Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: The bar is too soft to be carried in a bag
Kelloggs have a wide range of cereal bars which can be eaten for breakfast or as snacks during the day.
They normally cost a bit less than 2 Pounds for 8 of them if you buy them at Tesco or Asda, or you can also find them in some newsagents for 35-40 pennies each.
Each bar contains around 130 calories, which I think is not enough for breakfast, but surely more than enough for a snack.
I personally eat them more as snacks during the day and/or when I am out cycling. Each bar is individually wrapped and one thing i found is that you need to be careful when you open them, because some time I apply to much strenght and I end up tearing up the bar by mistake.
The balckberry and apple one taste of a combination of apple and berry. I personally could not necessarily say that it is blackberry though. The cereal coating is very soft and easy to gulp down while I am cycling. If i have them for breakfast, one is enough, I get a bit bored after one bar. As a snack, may be because they are quite sweet, they are great, they really give me some energy.
They are made of 34% cereal, while the content of fruit puree is normally around 3-4%
Once opened, they can last one day, although given their size, I doubt an adult would not be able to finish them.
Overall, I recommend them, they are surely a nice snack. Just one final word of warning, the bar is quite soft, so if you carry it in your bag for few days, you may find that the cereal bar is a bit squashed when you open it.
