KELLOGGS RICE KRISPIES

I recently purchased my 250g packet of rice krispies from tescos on special offer for £1.25p, and they are and have been a favourite breakfast cereal of mine for a long time.

They are made from grains of rice and contain vitamins and iron, so are good for children to eat too.

I buy mine for two different reasons, firstly to have as a snack or to simply eat for breakfast with cold milk, and a little sprinkling of sugar too.

Also i always buy a box, for cake making for when my grandchildren come to visit, we usually make rice krispies cakes, we buy a cheap bar of tescos chocolate and melt this, then we add the melted chocolate to the rice krispies, put into little cake cases and leave to set in the fridge, the children love these and i do too, and also they keep good so they can take a box home to their mummy and show them what they have made.

Each 30g serving of these contain 114 calories thats six percent, 3gs of sugar, and a trace of one percent fat, saturates one percent and salt 0.5g so thats not too bad, but i do add sugar to mine when i eat them as a breakfast cereal with milk.

The Packet **********

Blue background with red writing kelloggs and rice krispies original written in white and yellow.

The picture on the packet shows the three characators Snap Crackle and Pop famous with this brand and are dressed in tee shirts with their names on all with happy smiling faces and pointing to a bowl of these rice krispies with loads of milk splashing about all over the place.

Rice Krispies are made from single puffed grains of rice, apparently they are then toasted in a large oven. With added vitamins B1 and B2 and niacin, which is used to release energy from food to help children run around at playtime.

Snap Crackle and Pop, the names given to the cartoon kids on the packets are given their names because of the sounds that comes from this cereal when you add the milk onto them.

All in all a very versitile cereal can be eating as a snack anytime of the day, and as i already mentioned used to bake delicious cakes.

Thanks for reading and rating my reviews x

Summary: good cereal to keep in the cupboard.
