Advantages: Great taste, cheap to buy, all round good stuff
Disadvantages: Dont really fill you up that much
Well I'm 27 years old and I must admit I still eat Rice Krispies. Have loved them since I was a kid and still love them now. So what is it that makes them so good? Well lets have a look!
Is it that there are 1500 grains of rice in every bowl? No I don't think so, thats the last thing I think about as I tuck in!
Is that they go 'Snap, Crackle, Pop'? Well maybe, I do love that sounds as you splash the limk over the little rice particles. They carry on when there in your mouth, as you squash them between you tongue they pop happily away.
They are reasonably healthy, each bowl contains 114 calories, 3g sugars, 0.3 g fat, 0.1g saturates and 0.5g of salt. Am sure there are cerials out there that are better for you, but at the same time, there are plenty that are worse for you!
Price wise am sure it can vary but you can pick up a 600g box from Tesco for just £2.00 which I think is quite reasonble.
There are plenty of recipies that include Rice Krispes, you can make Rice Krispy squares and cakes and all sorts. The ones with Chocolate on are the best in my experience! And I have had plenty of experience in this field!
Overall I wold imagine the Rice Krispies are on of Kelloggs best sellers, they have been around for a long time and am sure they will be around for alot longer yet. If your into your cerial this is one that you may well enjoy. A big favorite with the kids too, so maybe buy it for them as an excuse then give a try yourself when they aren't looking! Snap, Crackle and Poptastic is all I can say about these! Yum!
Summary: One of the bigest cerials around, a true classic
